have the honor to announce the activities of the 21st International Conference of Physical Therapy -Cairo University- under the title: “Physical Therapy and Quality of Life”, which will be held on Thursday and Friday 28-29 July 2022 at the Grand Nile Tower Hotel (Grand Hyatt) – Cairo.

 

Objectives of the Conference:

 1-Exchanging of scientific and practical experiences and skills between international experts in the field of physical therapy.

2-Raising the scientific and therapeutic efficiency of physical therapists in the health institutions to advance the profession and reach an outstanding level of performance.

3-Developing the practical skills of therapists based on scientific foundations by reviewing and discussing the best participating researches in the fields of physical therapy and rehabilitation, and highlighting the latest recommendations that can be applied in this field to serve the community.

4- Giving researchers an opportunity to cooperate in order to conduct joint scientific research in various fields of physical therapy and rehabilitation.

5- Encouraging interdisciplinary research between different disciplines.

6- Developing researchers’ capabilities to innovate in the field of scientific research.

 

Conference Themes

 

1- The role of physical therapy for patients with Covid-19 and their rehabilitation in post-Covid-19 syndrome.

2- Optimal use of body mechanics to reduce injuries and accidents.

3- Increasing the efficiency of life activities for patients with nervous system injuries.

4- Reducing the impact of various injuries on movement efficiency.

5- Improving  the motor and functional abilities of children with special needs.

6- The role of physical therapy in the rehabilitation and prevention of sport injuries.

7- Improving the quality of life for the elderly.

8- Increasing the efficiency of motor performance and improving life activities after various heart surgeries.

9- Rehabilitation of patients with lymphedema.

10- The role of physical therapy and prosthetic technology in the rehabilitation of amputees.

 

Participation in the conference activities is as follows:

 

The participation of Egyptians:

1- Present a research in the conference in English for 15 minutes. Its Abstracts are sent in both languages (English – Arabic)  and the entire research is sent by fax or e-mail to the faculty or hand delivered to the office of Prof. Dr. Amal Mohamed Abd Elbaky, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs.

2- The individual’s participation with a research paper in form of either oral presentation or  poster presentation will be with fee of 1600 pounds (one thousand six hundred Egyptian pounds only) and includes the attendance certificate + conference portfolio + conference abstract book  + coffee break + conference lunch over two days, and the payment deadline is 15/5/2022. In case of a delay payment , the  fees will become 1800 pounds (one thousand eight hundred Egyptian pounds only) and the payment deadline is 15/6/2022.

3-If the participant submits two researches, 1600 pounds (one thousand six hundred Egyptian pounds only) for the first research + 600 pounds (six hundred Egyptian pounds only) for the second research to be included in the conference abstract book and program  as in no.2. The deadline is 15/5/2022, and in case of delay, 1800 pounds (one thousand and eight hundred Egyptian pounds only) is paid for the first research and 600 pounds (six hundred Egyptian pounds only) for the second research, and the deadline is 15/6/2022.

4- Full individual participation in the conference activities for a fee of 1200 pounds (one thousand two hundred Egyptian pounds only) and includes: Attendance certificate + conference portfolio + conference abstract book + Coffee break + conference lunch over two days.

5-The  participation in the conference activities for a fee of 750 pounds (seven hundred and fifty Egyptian pounds only)  includes: Attendance certificate + conference portfolio + conference abstract book + two-day coffee break.

6- Internship  students’ participation will be for a fee of 200 pounds (two hundred Egyptian pounds only) and includes: Attendance certificate only.

7- The participation of undergraduate students from all faculties of physical therapy will for a fee of 100 pounds (one hundred Egyptian pounds only) and includes: Attendance certificate only.

       

Non Egyptian participation:

1-  Participation in the conference activities for a fee of $350 (three hundred and fifty dollars only) that includes a certificate of attendance + conference portfolio + conference abstract book + Coffee break and lunch over two days.

 

2- The individual’s participation with the presentation of a research paper will be for a fee of 450 dollars in addition to the same package of No.1.

3- The participation of non-Egyptian  students in the conference activities will be for a fee of 125 dollars (one hundred and twenty-five dollars only) for obtaining the attendance certificate + conference portfolio + conference abstract book + Coffee break and lunch over two days.

 

Pre and post conference workshops

 

Workshops will also be organized to serve the new in the field of physical therapy, and the fee of the participation of each workshop will be determined separately (their fees are separate and not included in the conference participation packages)
